Bartonbell Publishing is a small house that serves as an inspiring refuge, committed to giving a platform to Black women and women of color. Through writing, photography, and art, our independent LLC brings to light the rich stories and experiences of BIPOC individuals and communities.

We strive to establish a literary scene that showcases the breadth of BIPOC experiences, fostering connection and confidence, and giving a platform to those historically excluded.

As a small independent publishing house, we spotlight the extraordinary talents of Black women and women of color worldwide, publishing boundary-breaking artistic works that inspire, educate, and expand cultural conversations.

It is our strong conviction that when diverse groups are authentically portrayed in literature and the arts, it promotes self-healing, builds strong communities, and fosters global acceptance.

Stacy Johnson is a writer, poet, photographer, abstract artist, and founder of Bartonbell Publishing. Her work explores themes of transformation, faith, resilience, and the quiet courage required to begin again. Through image and language, she creates spaces where vulnerability becomes strength and reflection becomes renewal.
